Brussels: The EU Trust Fund allocated Africa 2 billion for development, which should help reduce illegal migration. This was stated in her speech in the European Parliament by the EU High Representative for Foreign Policy and Security, Federica Mogherini.

"The EU Trust Fund for Africa already mobilized almost 2 billion euros, and our investments are primarily aimed at creating jobs, opportunities for improving education, and creating better conditions for security for growth," Mogherini said.

The EU High Representative noted that the promotion of the development of African countries would reduce the scale of illegal migration.

Earlier it was reported that the EU noted a noticeable decrease in the number of migrants from African countries.
