The Netherlands has ordered DITA self-propelled artillery systems from the Czech Republic to transfer them to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The Dutch Ministry of Defense said that it had recently placed an order for 9 such self-propelled artillery systems.

"The DITA self-propelled howitzer is a modern fire system capable of hitting targets at a distance of tens of kilometers. Ukraine needs this weapon," the Dutch Defense Ministry said in a statement.

It is noted that this weapon is part of a large Dutch order for Ukraine, which is handled by two manufacturers in the Czech Republic. In particular, the 155-mm DITA self-propelled artillery system is manufactured by the Czech concern Excalibur Army.

The self-propelled artillery system is equipped with an advanced onboard control system and an autonomous superstructure. At the same time, DITA uses NATO-standard 155 mm ammunition with a range of 39 km. Due to the high level of automation, DITA has a high rate of fire with only two crew members - a driver and a commander, and the ammunition of the self-propelled gun is 40 rounds.
