Minnesota Governor Tim Waltz, a Democrat, on Tuesday signed into law a bill legalizing recreational marijuana for those 21 and older. Minnesota has become the 23rd US state to legalize marijuana smoking for adults, the Associated Press reported.

 "It's been a long road that many countrymen have been trying to overcome," Waltz said. Among them was one of the first US governors who openly supported the legalization of marijuana.
