 Kubilyus noted that the geopolitical integration of Ukraine to the West is no less important than Leopard or Abrams tanks for the defense of Ukraine.

 "We need a strategy, which I call the strategy of "The power of expansion and the expansion of the power of democracy". And it should cover not only Ukraine, but also other countries of the Eastern Partnership, as well as the Western Balkan region.  He added that Putin is fighting against such a geopolitical perspective of Ukraine's integration because he is afraid of Ukraine's success.
