Epiphanius led the service at the Epiphany in the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra

Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine Epiphany conducts a service on the occasion of the feast of the Epiphany on January 19 in the Assumption Cathedral of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra - the second in this church. The broadcast is conducted on the OCU Facebook page.

"In the sanctuary of the Ukrainian people, in the Dormition Cathedral of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, we glorify in our native language the great event of the Epiphany, the Baptism of the Lord," the OCU points out.

"The Feast of the Epiphany, the Baptism of the Lord, is one of the greatest and oldest holidays established by the Holy Church. We are glad that by God's will we are celebrating this solemn service in the ancient shrine of the Ukrainian people, in the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, which has finally begun to throw off the shackles of spiritual occupation, in which it has been wrapped for the past several centuries. Thank God for everything," noted the head of the OCU, Metropolitan Epiphany on Facebook.

On January 7, the first divine service was held in the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra under the guidance of the head of the OCU, Metropolitan Epiphanius.
