UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres intends to help end the war in Ukraine because the world community cannot allow it to continue. This was stated by UN Deputy Secretary General for Political Affairs Rosemary Di Carlo during his speech at the UN Security Council meeting.

 "So far, there are no signs that this conflict is coming to an end. The issue will be resolved militarily and now it does not look like a dialogue will begin. But every war ends at some point. We cannot allow this war to continue." said Di Carlo.

 According to her, the Secretary General is ready to help the parties end this senseless conflict on the basis of the UN Charter and international humanitarian law.
