The SSU is inspecting the UOC MP in three more regions

The Security Service of Ukraine reported that it is carrying out security measures at the UOC MP facilities in three regions of Ukraine.

 

 "Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine conduct counter-intelligence (security) measures at the facilities of the UOC (MP) in Cherkasy, Volyn and Kherson regions," the special service reports.

 

 In particular, according to the SSU, it concerns 13 objects, including monasteries, churches, and Sunday schools:

 

 Khrestovozdvizhensky Czartoryi Men's Monastery of the Volyn Diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (MP)

 

 Mykolayiv Miletsky Men's Monastery of the Volodymyr-Volyn Diocese of the UOC (MP)

 

 Assumption Cathedral of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Kherson)

 

 Office of the Cherkasy Diocese of the UOC

 

 Saint Michael's Cathedral (Cherkasy)

 

 Sunday school and library of the Cherkasy Diocese of the UOC (Cherkasy)

 

 Office of the Uman-Zvenyhorod Eparchy (Uman)

 

 St. George's Convent (Uman district)

 

 Church of Andrew the First-Called (Cherkasy)

 

 Holy Trinity Motronyn Monastery (Cherkaskyi District)

 

 Krasnohirsky Holy Intercession Convent (Zolotoni district)

 "The measures are carried out together with the National Police and the National Guard - as part of the systematic work of the Security Service of Ukraine to counter the subversive activities of the Russian special services in our country. Taking into account the armed aggression of Russia, these measures are carried out, among other things, to exclude the use of religious communities as a center of the "Russian world" ". and protection of the population from provocations and terrorist acts," the special service noted.

 

 With the direct participation of representatives of the church, as indicated, law enforcement officers conduct an inspection of the territory and premises (including hotel-type ones) to identify persons who may be involved in illegal activities to the detriment of the state sovereignty of Ukraine and objects prohibited from handling.

 

 "All actions take place within the framework of current legislation. We emphasize once again: in its activities, the SSU acts exclusively within the framework of the Constitution of Ukraine and current legislation, and also respects the rights of every citizen to freedom of choice of religion and worldview," the special service emphasized.
