Lavrov announced the return of NATO to the priorities of the Cold War

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that NATO has returned to the "conceptual priorities" of the Cold War, and they want to keep the Russians out of Europe. He announced this at a press conference on European security issues, rosZMI reports.

At the same time, Lavrov recalled the words of the first general secretary of the Hastings Alliance, Lionel Ismia, that it is necessary to "keep the Russians out of Europe, the Americans in Europe, and the Germans under control."

"Currently, what is happening means NATO's return to those conceptual priorities developed 73 years ago. Nothing has changed: they want to keep the Russians out of Europe, the Americans have already enslaved all of Europe, and they are keeping not only the Germans under control, but also the entire European Union," the minister said.

According to him, after the end of the Cold War, the "philosophy of dominance and unilateral advantages" did not disappear anywhere.

In addition, Lavrov stated that NATO is carrying "devastation and suffering" externally.

"I have already mentioned the aggression against Syria, the aggression against Libya, the destruction of Libyan statehood. If there were 16 countries in NATO in 1991, now there are already 30," he said.
