The US Senate approved the allocation of $12.4 billion to Ukraine

The US Senate voted to allocate a financial aid package to Ukraine in the amount of 12.4 billion dollars.

 

 This is reported by the Washington Post.

 

 It is assumed that 7.8 billion dollars will be allocated for defense needs, and 4.5 billion dollars - for direct budget support of Ukraine.

 

 Also, this document restores the authority of the White House to transfer weapons and equipment to Ukraine from the warehouses of the US Department of Defense in the new fiscal year in the amount of 3.7 billion dollars.

 

 The bill still needs to be approved by the House of Representatives, where a vote is scheduled for Friday, September 30.
