The Russian Federation made a new statement about nuclear weapons

After the statements of the Russian leader Vladimir Putin, Moscow said that the country allegedly does not threaten anyone with nuclear weapons. This was announced by Deputy Head of the Russian Foreign Ministry Serhiy Ryabkov, UP writes.

"We explain that we do not threaten anyone with nuclear weapons, the criteria for their use are described in the military doctrine and specified in the "Fundamentals of Russia's State Policy in the Field of Nuclear Deterrence" dated June 2, 2020," Ryabkov said.

At the same time, he "warns" about the risks of some kind of Western intervention in the "special military operation" in Ukraine.

"We strongly urge the US administration to avoid a situation that could lead to a direct military confrontation with Russia," he said.
