Secret documents related to the production of the latest military technologies were tried to be taken out of Ukraine - SSU

During a special operation in Zaporizhzhya, the Security Service of Ukraine prevented the "leaking" of secret documents on the production of the latest military technologies, namely, aircraft engines, abroad.

 

 This is reported by the SSU.

 

 As the special service said, the documents were planned to be taken to one of the countries of East Asia.

 

 "For a monetary reward, the perpetrators tried to smuggle to foreigners secret documentation related to the production of aircraft engines for fighter jets and combat helicopters," the message reads.

 

 According to counterintelligence, the scheme was organized by a former official of one of the most powerful defense enterprises in the region. He involved three current employees in illegal activities.

 

 Employees of the enterprise made copies of secret documents. The organizer of the transaction planned to transfer the received information to foreign representatives through closed channels of electronic communication for money.

 

 According to the experts' conclusions, if the appropriate technologies were obtained, foreigners could establish their own production of modernized aircraft engines.

 

 During the searches, the perpetrators were found to have:

 

 electronic carriers of information regarding technical documentation for military purposes;

 

 means of communication used for communication with a foreign "customer";

 

 30 thousand dollars, which they received as a deposit for illegal exports.

 

 Currently, the issue of notifying the defendants of suspicion under Art. 333 (violation of the procedure for international transfers of goods subject to state export control) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
