The Ukrainian military established fire control over almost the entire Kherson region - Humenyuk

The Ukrainian military established fire control over almost the entire territory of the temporarily occupied Kherson region.

This was emphasized by the head of the United Coordination Press Center of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine, Natalia Humenyuk.

"We are under fire control over almost the entire territory of the Kherson region, we are continuing our combat work, but it is still too early to talk about victories, we need to gain a foothold in the liberated settlements," she said.

According to her, the peculiarities of the military operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the south are related to the landscape of the region, where there are many rivers, canals and open steppe terrain.

"That's why there is no information openness here, as it is very dangerous for our units and the population due to the threat of shelling from the enemy. Many territories are mined, we cannot announce all our successes, but we are advancing and close to the Russians - this is very demoralizing for them," - Humenyuk said.

She added that the morale of the occupiers was also undermined by the successes of the Armed Forces during the offensive in the Kharkiv region.
