The EU has expanded personal sanctions against Russia: who is on the list

The European Union has expanded personal sanctions against Russia for its full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

This is reported by the official journal of the EU.

 The updated list includes:

Russian State Duma deputies Alla Polyakova and Anton Tkachev,

Member of the Federation Council Valery Ponomaryov.

It should be noted that the list of sanctions includes about 100 organizations and more than a thousand people - these are politicians, media representatives, and heads of large companies.

Personal sanctions include, in particular, a ban on entry into the EU.

It will be recalled that the ministers of foreign affairs of the EU countries agreed to stop the simplified visa regime with the Russian Federation against the background of the war against Ukraine.

The EU has not reached a consensus on this issue. Yes, Germany and France do not want to introduce a complete ban on issuing visas to Russians, as this allegedly could further rally citizens around the Putin regime.
