Denmark will join the training of the Ukrainian military in Britain

The Danish Defense Ministry has announced that it has joined the British-led initiative to train the Ukrainian military.

The Danish Defense Ministry said in a statement.

"Ukraine still needs support in the fight against Russian invasion, so Denmark is stepping up its military training assistance," the statement said.

It is noted that Denmark will support a British-led training project involving 130 Danish soldiers, while offering to train Ukrainian soldiers in Denmark.

"Therefore, a dialogue has begun with Ukraine on support in the training of command personnel and support for the Territorial Defense Forces of Ukraine," the Danish Ministry of Defense said.

This is one of the initiatives that will be presented during tomorrow's donor conference in Copenhagen.

In 2022 100 million Danish kroner will be allocated for the project to support the military training of the Ukrainian military.

Earlier, Finland, Sweden and Canada announced their participation in the training of Ukrainian military.

Recall, the program of training of the Ukrainian military on the British territory Vladimir Zelensky offered British Prime Minister Boris Johnson during a visit to Kiev in June.

At that time, the British prime minister specified that the UK military could provide training for up to 10,000 Ukrainian servicemen every 120 days.
