Inspection team begins inspection of grain ship near Istanbul

The first ship carrying Ukrainian grain, the Razoni, which left Odesa and arrived in the area of Istanbul, has been inspected by a joint inspection team. This was reported by the Turkish Ministry of Defense on August 3.

"The joint inspection team reached the corn-loaded dry cargo ship Razoni anchored at the entrance to the Bosporus Strait in the Black Sea, and inspection activities began on board," the report said.

Thus, a general inspection team departed from the shore berth to inspect the Razoni vessel loaded with corn waiting at the entrance to the Bosporus Strait in the Black Sea.

As Anadolu notes, a delegation consisting of representatives from Turkey, the Russian Federation, Ukraine and the United Nations departed from the pier of the General Directorate of Coastal Security to inspect the dry cargo ship departing from Ukraine and carrying corn.

The first ship carrying the grain arrived in Istanbul on the evening of August 2. It left the port of Odesa on August 1. The Sierra Leone-flagged vessel Razoni was carrying 26,000 tons of corn to Lebanon.
