Slovakia is ready to discuss the transfer of 11 fighter jets to Ukraine

Slovakia is already ready to discuss the possibility of transferring 11 MiG-29 fighters to the Ukrainian side. This is reported by Sky News.

According to Slovak Defense Minister Jaroslav Nadja, his country cannot provide the planes for free. He also noted that each MiG-29 costs about 35 million euros.

The Slovak minister stressed that these fighters must be taken out of service at the end of August. Instead, the Czech Republic and Poland will patrol the airspace until Bratislava receives the American planes.

"Immediately when we land them and the Czechs and Poles take over the airspace, we can discuss the future of the MiG-29s ... We are open to discussing transferring them to Ukraine, but it would certainly require, I would say, a broader discussion with financial aspects and all others, so no decision has been made yet," Nagy said at a joint press conference with British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace.
