Self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko told Russian President Vladimir Putin that he was "concerned about the plans of NATO and Poland to take western Ukraine. This is reported by the UP.

"They - politicians - are already making steps to dismember Ukraine. We are concerned that they (Poles and NATO) are ready to take Western Ukraine, as it was before 1939," Lukashenko said at a meeting with Putin.

He also said that, in his opinion, the Ukrainians will still have to ask the Belarusians to "not allow this western part and other parts to break away from Ukraine."
