Turkey has blocked the review process of Sweden's and Finland's applications to join NATO, The Financial Times reported, citing sources.
"Turkey has blocked NATO's initial decision to consider Finland and Sweden's applications to join the military alliance," the newspaper wrote.
According to the paper's source, NATO postpresidents met on Wednesday to immediately begin talks on the two countries' accession to NATO, but "Ankara's objections derailed the vote."
