Ukrainian Paralympians won the World Cup

The Ukrainian Paralympic team won the World Cup, held in the Spanish city of Salou.

 

In the decisive game, the "blue-yellow" team defeated Iran -1-0. The author of the only goal was Ivan Donenko, who scored the only goal in the 13th minute of the game.

 

As part of the group round, the Ukrainians top scored in quartet D, beating Spain (5-0), Northern Ireland (7-0) and Argentina (5-1). The Blue-Yellows defeated Ireland (5-1) in the quarter-finals and the USA (5-1) in the semi-finals.

 

For the Ukraine national Paralympic soccer team this victory has become the sixth in the history. Previously, the Ukrainians triumphed at the World Championships in 2001, 2003, 2009, 2013 and 2017.
