State Border Service urges Ukrainians not to go to the EU through Poland

The State Border Guard Service urged Ukrainians going to the EU to choose not Poland as the checkpoints there are the busiest, according to Ukrainska Pravda.

The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine issued a statement to this effect in the morning of March 7.

According to border guards, over the past day, 16 thousand cars and almost 134 thousand people crossed the western border of Ukraine, of which 117 thousand - for exit, with 84 thousand - because of the checkpoints on the border with Poland.

"The number of people waiting to cross the border remains quite significant. We urge everyone: it is possible to get to the EU not only through the Ukrainian-Polish border! On the border with Hungary, Slovakia, Romania, as well as with Moldova, the checkpoints are almost empty or loaded minimally," the border guards note.

You can check the situation on the page of the Western regional department of the State Border Guard Service, which promises to update information every three hours.

"Once again we ask all citizens to observe the rule of law, the order and standards of morality during border crossing and not to offer bribes to border guards for an unscheduled or illegal border crossing!
