Today, December 3, a tanker carrying 19 tons of ammonia overturned on a highway near Vinnitsa. Now rescuers are working to eliminate the consequences of the incident. This is reported by the press center of the State Emergencies Service.

"On December 3 at 6:23 on the Cherkassky highway of the city of. Vinnitsa on the road M30 Stryy-Ternopol-Kropivnitsky-Znamenka-Lugansk-Izvarino overturned a car that was used to transport gas," - said in the message.

When rescuers from the regional center arrived on the scene, it turned out that a tanker containing liquefied ammonia (anhydrous) had overturned, and the capacity of the tank is about 19 tons.

After that, at 9:40 employees of the State Emergency Service began pumping ammonia from the tank.

Now 31 State Emergency Service personnel and 9 units of special equipment are working on the scene.
